The second realization of ‘Tidelines’, at Alex Theatre , commissioned by St Kilda Film Festival. Directed by Sofie McClure, performed by Anika De Ruyter and Maddy Bowman, and with a live score composed by Bridget Chappell (Hextape). This work was shot on the on the land and sea of the the Brataualung people of Gunaikurnai nation, we respectfully acknowledge their elders past and present.

‘Tidelines’ presents a work where the ‘screen’ is never a fixed point of focus but mobile and at times obscuring. Placed within shifting structures, the video image becomes something lively and reactive, playing out beyond view or in close proximity to the viewer’s body. Shot with cameras attached to ropes, the body becomes caught within a perpetual state of push and pull, as unspoken contracts between human and nonhuman bodies begin to emerge.
